Stumbling along with the technology!

Hi! This is the page i've created to update my ongoing battle (haha) with using technology!

My intension is to use as much technology as i can with this project...this means using my ipad, iphone, laptop and 'programs' and 'apps' to do as much of this work as I can :)

  1. One thing I am trying to get used to at the moment is the way the technology is working around me.

Traditionally I'd have books open all over the place, post-it notes and scraps of paper surrounding me and I'd know exactly what was going on around me...it would be organised in my mind.

The thing i'm getting used to at the moment is having some sort of organisation around me and settling that in my mind! What i mean is, instead of having 'books' etc around me I have a small amount of managable technology.

At first i struggled to get used to knowing that i needed to switch on 'something' and then look at a particular program! I'm slowly getting used to this and it is becoming very beneficial :) - i'm even smiling about it!!!

I've recently been using camscanner and 'pages' a word application that has allowed me to do some work on my ipad and docuument this.

Recently I searched the net for information and then recorded this into the 'pages' app that i was able to upload onto here! :)

I've come across one problem though....when i create a document in 'pages' and include pictures in it, i cannot just paste this over into blogger. its a little annoying but im working round it!

It would be good if blogger worked much better with iphone and ipad but days are early and things change all the time.

    I'll update you soon :)

  2. Hi!

It's come to the end of the project and I'm summing up (sort of) everything that I've done.

I'm going to be honest...i havent used the 'technology' to it's best effect; but this is only something i could really discover by reflecting at the end.

I still have a long way to go with getting used to all the programs but i'm definately glad i took this angle on this project...it's made things a lot less messy but also made me push myself to explore and devolop skills that i most certainly lacked before!

One really important note that i need to make is that I just could not totally rely on the 'technology'. It really has helped but I did need to sketch, model and actually physically look at materials etc to get a 'real' feel towards this project.

The 'technology' could not give me the main key thing to how i work...it could not totally feed my senses BUT it can work hand in hand with this.
